Send enquiries into the apps you already use

If you run your jobs or your customers in another app, every enquiry from your website can go straight into it as well, so nobody types it in twice. You set it up on the Connections page in your dashboard.

About 6 minutes

Your enquiries always come to you by email and sit in your dashboard. Connecting an app adds one more place: the moment somebody fills in a form, the enquiry is also sent to the app, as a new lead, contact, job, task or message depending on what the app is for.

There are 38 apps, grouped by what they do. Job software: Fergus, ServiceM8 and Tradify. Customers and contacts: HubSpot, Pipedrive, Capsule, Brevo, Klaviyo and others. Chat and phone alerts: Slack, Teams, Google Chat, Telegram and more, for a ping on your phone. Tasks and tables: Trello, Asana, monday.com, Notion, Airtable and others. Help desks: Freshdesk and Zendesk. And Zapier, Make, n8n and Pipedream, which reach almost anything else. Type the app into the search box at the top of the page to find it.

Each app asks for one thing to connect it, usually a key you make inside that app, and the row tells you exactly where to find it. Tradify asks for its enquiries email address instead, and Slack, Teams and the automation tools ask for a web address they give you. What you paste is stored locked away, and the dashboard only ever shows its last four characters.

What goes across is the name, email, phone number and message, with any other answers from the form listed under it. An app that is about contacts, like HubSpot or Brevo, skips an enquiry with no email address, because it has nothing to file it under. Adding somebody as a contact never signs them up to a mailing list.

If an app ever stops accepting what is sent, usually because a key has run out or been deleted, the visitor is still thanked, you still get the email, and the row turns red and says Not working, with what went wrong. Nothing is lost, but that enquiry will not be in the app, so make a new key and connect again.

Everything else on the Connections page. The same page has your tracking tools (Google Analytics, Meta pixel and Search Console, Pro), a spreadsheet of your enquiries (Pro), your own web address, your AI assistant, and rows for putting a booking page, a video, a map or a form inside one of your pages. Each row says what to do when you press it.

Step by step

  1. Open Connections in your dashboard.

  2. Find your app under "Enquiries and jobs", or type its name in the search box.

  3. Press Connect. The row opens and says where to find what it needs.

For Fergus, for example: in Fergus go to Settings, Integrations, Fergus API, and make a personal access token. It lasts a year.

  4. Make the key in the other app, copy it, paste it into the row and press Connect.

  5. Press "Send a test". A made-up enquiry from "Test Person" goes across.

  6. Look for Test Person in the other app. If it is there, you are done.

If it does not go to plan

The test did not turn up in the other app.

Check the row: if it says Not working, it says why underneath. Most often the key was copied with a bit missing, or made with the wrong permissions. Make a new one and press "Save new one". Saving replaces what is there, and the old one cannot be shown again.

It was working and now says Not working.

The key has usually run out or been deleted in the other app. Fergus keys last a year. Make a new one and save it. Enquiries that came in while it was broken are still in your dashboard and your email, just not in the app.

Can I connect more than one app?

Yes. Every enquiry goes to all of them at once, for example into Fergus as a job and to Slack as a ping.

My app is not on the list.

Zapier, Make, n8n and Pipedream connect to thousands of apps, and "Another app" sends to any web address that accepts it. If you would rather we added it properly, ask at the bottom of the Connections page.

How do I put a video, a map or my booking page on my site?

In the editor, press Add a section and choose "Map, video or form" or "Book a time", click the box it adds, and paste the ordinary share link. It shows once you publish. YouTube, Vimeo, Google Maps, Google Forms, Calendly, Timely, Setmore and around 20 others work.

How do I stop it?

Open the row and press Remove. You still get every enquiry by email.
