What we make

Candles, soap and small ceramics

Everything is made by hand in small batches, so what is in stock changes week to week.

Soy candles

Hand-poured soy candles in reused glass jars, scented with a short list of favourites. New scents most seasons, old favourites always kept in rotation.

Cold-process soap

Bar soap made the slow way, cured for six weeks before it goes on the table. Kind on skin, no palm oil, wrapped in paper not plastic.

Small ceramics

Mugs, bowls and little dishes, thrown and glazed at home in small batches. Each one a little different, which is the point.

The maker

One person, one home studio

Tui Ridge Makers is Bridget Allen, making candles, soap and ceramics from a home studio outside Motueka since 2018. She sells most of it herself, most Saturdays, rain or shine.

Batches are small because that is what a home studio allows. If something sells out, it will usually come back next season rather than being restocked overnight.
