A shop full of things people actually put in their basket, not just look at.
Ceramics, boards and linen napkins from New Zealand makers, built for a table that gets used every night, not just for guests.
Candles, soaps and small textiles for the rooms that do not usually get much attention. Good as a treat for yourself too.
A whole table of things that make an easy gift, wrapped for free while you wait. Handy when you have left it to the last minute.
Cromwell House and Home opened in the heritage precinct in 2019, started by Sarah and Michael Grierson after years of buying homewares as gifts for other people. Now they stock the shop for exactly that reason.
Nearly everything on the shelves is made in New Zealand, from a short list of makers we have got to know. If we would not have it in our own house, it does not go on the shelf.
