Staying here

Three rooms, one breakfast table

Each room is different, but every stay starts with breakfast on the veranda if the weather's kind.

The Hill Room

A queen room with its own bathroom and the best view on the farm. Sleeps two.

The Garden Room

A queen room opening onto the garden, with a smaller ensuite and a quieter spot away from the main house.

Breakfast

Eggs from our hens, bread baked that morning and fruit from the garden when it's in season. Included every night.

Who we are

A working farm, three spare rooms

Fernside has been the Taylor family farm for three generations. We opened the spare rooms to guests in 2014, mostly so people would stop asking if we did.

It's a working farm, not a resort, so expect the odd sheep on the lawn and a genuinely quiet night.

Rates

Rates include a cooked breakfast and are the same for one or two guests in a room.

From $195 a night, breakfast included

Minimum two nights over summer and school holidays.
